Abstract: This checklist helps scholars ensure the implementation of universal effective practices in the classroom. For example, the checklist asks whether the teacher has a visual classroom schedule in place. The checklist provides other specific questions in five categories. Those include, classroom environment, appropriate instruction, monitoring, feedback, and error correction.

Integration: Another example of the checklist questions: “do strive to interact more frequently with every student when he/she is engaged in positive behavior that when he/she is engaged in negative behavior?”

Content Focus: Universal Classroom Practices; Child Guidance

Notes: Although this checklist says “students”, it also is applicable to children in early childhood settings.

You could also share this checklist with scholars after you give them a brief review of Teaching Pyramid Model. Please visit csefel for more information on the model.

The checklist does fit in the universal level of Teaching Pyramid Model.
